Battery Saver EcoCtl 6.00

This application requests the android.permission.GET_ACCOUNTS permission to access synchronization account information. This data is utilized solely to configure synchronization control settings within the [Settings for SYNC items] menu located at the upper right corner of the interface. The purpose of accessing this information is to enhance battery efficiency by managing sync operations.

It is important to note that the information retrieved is strictly used for displaying the settings interface and storing user preferences. There is no transmission or sharing of this data with external servers or third parties.

For devices running Android 5.0 and above, root access is required to enable the [Disable 3G/LTE in screen off] feature.

On devices with Android 10.0 and above, root access is similarly required to utilize the [Disable Wi-Fi in screen off] option.

The main functionalities include:

1. Automatic network management based on screen status: It halts network connections (selectable between 3G / LTE and Wi-Fi) when the screen turns off, with automatic reconnection upon unlocking. The network may also be restarted periodically even if it remains off, enabling continued receipt of emails and other notifications. This operation adheres to Android's security policies, and therefore, restricts functionality on non-rooted devices running Android 5.0 or later.

2. Battery mode management: Users can disable synchronization for selected items when the device is operating on battery power. Sync behavior automatically restores when charging resumes. It is possible to customize which synchronization items are halted in battery mode—for example, maintaining Gmail sync while disabling others.

3. Device efficiency: EcoCtl itself consumes negligible battery resources during operation.

4. Additional notes: We have verified email receipt via Gmail and K-9 Mail; however, some email clients may experience delays in delivery during network reactivation phases. Furthermore, the module automatically disables network control functions during tethering modes.

5. Advanced configuration: Certain settings can be adjusted through shell commands, providing users with deeper customization capabilities. For example:

   • To disable 3G/LTE during sleep mode:
   • am startservice -n com.jp.ssipa.ecoctl/.MyService --es SERVICE_STATUS SET_SETTING --es SUB_STATUS DATA_NW_CHECK --ez VALUEb false

   Replace "DATA_NW_CHECK" with other sub-status identifiers as needed:

   • DATA_NW_CHECK: Disable 3G/LTE in sleep mode
   • WIFI_NW_CHECK: Disable Wi-Fi in sleep mode
   • BATTERY_NW_CHECK: Keep network connections active during charging
   • BATTERY_SYNC_CHECK: Enable sync only when charging
   • WIFI_SYNC_CHECK: Enable sync exclusively over Wi-Fi

   For instance, to enable the "Disable 3G/LTE in sleep mode" feature:
